The World Languages Institute offers one of the few Finnish language programs in the Seattle-Bellevue area. Beginning Finnish classes are designed for those with little or no experience in the Finnish language.
Our Finnish lessons meet once a week for 10 weeks, and you can start speaking Finnish at your first class. Our instructor is a native Finnish speaker. Whether your interest is travel, reconnecting with your heritage or personal enjoyment, you can learn to speak Finnish with confidence. Lessons include how to:
- Engage in short conversations
- Ask and respond to basic questions
- Read and write short sentences on everyday topics
- Apply fundamental Finnish grammar concepts
