Learn ASL – American Sign Language

The World Languages Institute at Bellevue College is a great place to learn American Sign Language. Our ASL classes are engaging, professional and affordable.

American Sign Language is the first language of many deaf North Americans, and one of the most commonly used languages in the United States. People learn sign language for a variety of reasons. They may have a deaf or hard of hearing family member or friend, may be losing hearing themselves, or simply want to pursue a personal interest.

Get started learning ASL–American Sign Language

World Languages Institute ASL classes are designed for those with little or no experience in ASL. Our skilled instructor makes learning sign language fun and easy. ASL classes are designed to accommodate busy adults– you meet once a week in the evening for eight weeks. The location is convenient for learners in the Seattle-Bellevue area. If you plan to learn ASL, it's great to take classes with a friend so you'll have a partner to practice with during the rest of the week.

The World Languages Institute American Sign Language classes will give you the tools to:
