Emergency Information
Snow Policy
TELOS bases its snow day closure policy on the decision of the Bellevue School District, not Bellevue College. In case of inclement weather, listen to the school closure announcements late in the evening or early in the morning; if Bellevue Public Schools are affected in any way (cancelled classes, late starts, altered bus routes), all TELOS classes are cancelled for that day. The Bellevue School District announces its snow day decision no later than 5:00 AM on the day of the anticipated weather event. Consult the Bellevue School District website: www.bsd405.org/.
If you call the Bellevue College closure line, you may get a conflicting message. Remember, TELOS cancels classes based upon the Bellevue School District’s decision.
In every case, use common sense! If conditions in your area are such that you do not want to be on the road, by all means stay home!
TELOS classes are wonderful, but not the extent of risking life and limb.
TELOS will make every effort to schedule a convenient make-up day for missed classes.
Instructor Absence
If an instructor is absent, it will be noted on the Website under Emergency Information as soon as we are notified. A ‘make-up’ class may be scheduled at the end of the quarter.
