C# Certificate Programs
The demand for qualified computer programmers in the Seattle area remains strong and is growing. Employers are looking for individuals who have high analytical and decision making skills; a patient, methodical approach to problem solving; attention to accuracy and details; the ability to work under pressure; and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communication. Additionally, employers are seeking individuals who can solve complex business problems by writing code that is simple, elegant, robust, and maintainable.
Bellevue College’s C# programs emphasize learning by doing and utilize extensive in-class exercises and labs to teach the skills most in demand in the workplace. Instructors are experienced professionals currently working in the field. Classes may be taken individually, or as part of a C# certificate program.
C# Certificate Programs
Bellevue College offers two C# certificates:
- C# Programming
- C# Web Development
The C# Programming Certificate leads the student through four levels of C# classes, as well as additional offerings in design and development theory. Completion of this certificate is required to obtain the C# Web Development certificate.
The C# Web Development Certificate provides the opportunity to learn the advanced skills needed to succeed in today’s .NET Web-based industry. Students will build on the skills learned in the C# Programming Certificate to design, develop, implement, and deploy C# Web-based applications in a variety of architectural configurations.
The curriculum was designed by professional developers, managers and programmers to best reflect the skills employers are looking for today. Labs typically make up about 30% of class time. Each certificate includes a capstone project, designed and developed by the student to demonstrate skills learned.
The programs are structured to accommodate the varying time schedules of individual students. You can start any time you like and complete at your own pace, taking as few as one or two classes a week. Each program can be completed in as few as 12 months or as long as three years.
