Kevin Feige
Kevin is a test lead in mobile software with experience in architecture, design, development and testing software systems. His experience includes developing financial and communication software, providing support services and writing developer curriculum. Kevin received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been teaching computer programming courses at Bellevue College since 1999 and has also taught programming at Shoreline Community College.
David Figge
David has been a programmer for over 30 years, working in industries that include game development and database systems. Over the course of his career, he's worked for The Boeing Company, Spry, Compuserve, AOL and Raima Corp. David has been teaching at Bellevue College since 1994, and has taught many of the dozen or so programming languages he knows. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Java Certified Programmer.
Dan Hodge
Dan graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in software engineering technology. He began his technical career as a software quality assurance engineer at Asymetrix Corporation. He later was promoted to a Windows development position, and utilized C/C++ to help develop Asymetrix's flagship product, ToolBook, along with several other multimedia applications. Dan joined ST Labs in 1995 as a technical trainer, where he taught test automation and programming, and eventually became manager of their training department. In 1997, Dan started his own training company specializing in software testing instruction and consulting, and taught onsite classes worldwide for companies such as HP, Intel, AT&T and Microsoft. His current interests include .NET programming and website development.
Randal Root
Randal is a senior consultant specializing in .NET Programming, SQL Server Business Intelligence reporting and technical education. He has worked in the industry as a network administrator and programmer since the 1980s and holds several Microsoft professional certifications including MCSE, MCP+I, MCTS, MCDBA, MCAD, MCITP and MCT. Randal has also provided training for organizations that include Microsoft and the University of Washington. His primary subject areas include Windows, Web, and database programming, as well as software testing and network administration. Randal recently co-authored the book "A Tester's Guide to .NET Programming" and is currently working on another book.
Carol Torkko
Carol is a computer applications consultant, and has specialized in developing and maintaining applications for users in the business world since 1994. She has been an instructor at Bellevue College since 1999. Carol has over 40 years of programming experience in various languages. Her career has included work for Safeco Insurance and PACCAR. She also served as the market research manager for Kenworth Truck Company, where she specialized in data analysis and industry forecasting. She also built an automated system that tracked the company’s truck orders. Carol is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer and has a bachelor’s degree in math from University of California at Chico.
Kal Viswanathan
Kal is a senior applications developer with Microsoft, where she has been employed since 1998. In the course of her career, she has held positions that include software developer, software engineer and applications engineer. Kal received her bachelor's degree in engineering in India and her master's degree in computer science from Western Michigan University. Her specialty is teaching Microsoft developer tools.
